YOUR HELP NEEDED PLEASE
 Poringland Post Office. The Rector and Churchwardens are currently in discussion with Post Office Ltd and the Framingham Earl Post Office Branch about the possibility of opening up post-office facilities in the Octagon. These facilities would be available on a regular basis at certain times of the week. The discussions are now at the stage when letters or emails in support of this venture would very much help in swaying Post Office Ltd that such a branch is needed. If you or someone you know feel able to support this initiative then PLEASE do write stating your support and perhaps saying why it would be important for you / the community to have this facility located in Poringland. Loddon Rural Dean

Robert’s licensing service as Rural Dean takes place 9.30am Thursday 9th September during a Communion Service at Rockland St Mary Parish Church
Bishop Alan will preside assisted by Archdeacon David and Deanery Lay Chair John Lowrey

Debbie Driver will be ordained on Saturday 2nd October at Norwich Cathedral (the time is not yet fixed but will probably be at 11.00am). ALL are very welcome! Also, all are very warmly invited afterwards to some light lunch refreshments following on at Poringland Village Hall. More details to follow but please mark this date in your diaries!
