A new weekly opportunity for prayer on Wednesdays 6pm going through to 10pm to be held in the Octagon or within All Saints Church depending on other activities which might be taking place in the Octagon. This is open to anyone who wishes to come along to pray generally or about specific topics (local, countrywide or worldwide). You are free to spend as much or as little time as you wish. It will be a time of talking to and quietly listening to God. Prayer for individuals will be on offer. Andy Driver has been inspired to open up the church for prayer in this way after reading "Red Moon Rising" by Peter Greig, the founder of 24/7 Prayer Rooms, where he places prayer at the very heart of our Christian faith. For further details please contact Andy (494641).

Since then they have witnessed a remarkable outbreak of God’s bounty and blessing, which continues to impact visitors, passers-by and the local community. Roy will be sharing some of their experiences when he comes to Norwich on Wednesday 10th March at Norwich Central Baptist Church, Duke Street, NR3 3AP. 7.30-9.30pm hosted by Call to Prayer. Lighthouses of Prayer. During the Just Ten Mission with J.John in 2002 God raised up 113 Lighthouses of Prayer; these very diverse groups provided a significant prayer impetus to cover this event. Today - ‘Call to Prayer’ - members of which were heavily involved in the 2002 initiative - believe that the time has come to re-launch them. The reason is there are a number of initiatives about to happen, including Celebrate in June which has the potential to be a major evangelistic event, and the recently launched Foodbank. Also, the Father’s Heart Conference in Ashill 29th to 31st May (including Mark Stibbe, Doug Horley, Bishop James, etc) and the Passion for Life initiative in March in the lead up to Easter with various outreach events already planned to take place across Norwich, and the J.John / Philo Trust initiative to have all their material released this autumn to have the JUST 10 mission synchronised to run in churches up and down the country. In addition, ‘Call to Prayer’ would like to increase prayer for the many existing churches and ministries which do such a wonderful work both locally and across Norfolk, and the Lighthouses are seen as the very best way of addressing these needs. In 2002, there was no blueprint for the Lighthouses and it will be the same this time: some were small groups gathering to pray, some were from across the churches, others from within one particular church or existing prayer groups who chose to link up with others to pray. If you would like to be a Lighthouse Leader – or would like to talk further about Lighthouses of Prayer – please contact Jill Gower on jill@call2prayer.co.uk or call 491770. Very many thanks.
